MP-2 is a natural-sounding, portable pickup solution for flat-backed mandolins with adjustable base-and-top style bridges. The wood-encased, lightweight sensor installs safely and securely into the opening between the top and the base of the bridge with no modifications. Cork-lined, fully adjustable barrel clamps keep the solid ebony, cork-lined Carpenter jack safe and stable while locked in place to the instrument’s body. An onboard volume control makes it easy for performers to control the pickup output while onstage or in the studio, directly from the pickup. MP-2 utilizes a passive system, designed to work flawlessly with your favorite acoustic amplifier or preferred preamp without the need for a battery. MP-2 is engineered and handcrafted in Europe.
